West Cape Howe Styx Gully Chardonnay 2011

Vintage: 2011

Style: Oaked White

Country: Australia

Region: Mount Barker, WA

Tasting note: Lovely, toasty oak on the nose with subtle hints of citrus scaling the walls of the glass. The palate is austere and elegant with nice citrus and stone fruit notes with a salty edge. Nice integration of French oak.

Final Say: It may be from the lesser known of the WA regions but it is one of my faves. $20-$23 a bottle.

Score: 16.5 out of 20
