Mount Pleasant Anne Semillon 2006

Style: Dry-White

Country: Australia

Region: Hunter Valley

Tasting note: Placing one’s nose in the glass is akin to following a running lawn mower, struggling through a foot of luscious grass and breathing in the aromas of cut grass and a touch of oily kerosene. Despite the age the palate is vibrant and fresh with flavours of toasty straw, lemon and just a touch of lime. Sweat inducing acidity is the icing on the cake.

Final Say: Still one of my favourite Hunter Valley Semillons. $25 a bottle.

Score: 17 out of 20
